Types of Ballots
In-person Ballots: A ballot completed in person on election day at a voters’ polling site.
Absentee Ballots: A ballot that is completed and typically mailed in advance of an election by a voter who is unable to be present at the polls.
Mail-in Ballots: Ballots sent through the mail that are automatically sent to you.
Early Voting: Votes that are casted ahead of Election day.
How to Vote At Home
- Request a Ballot: As an absentee voter, you will need to request a ballot. If you vote-by-mail, the ballot will automatically be sent to you.
- Fill Out Your Ballot: Make sure to fill out all of the required information, as well as which candidates you are voting for.
- Return Your Ballot: Ballots may be returned via mail or in person at a local election office or another location.
How to Vote In-Person
- Provide Identification: Check here to figure out what form of identification you need to provide on Election Day in your state.
- Go to Your Polling Site: You can find your polling site by checking your voter registration.
- Cast Your Vote: You will be given a ballot that you will be able to fill out privately and then turn in to your elections officials when you are done.
